August 2022, Prayer Diary

SUNDAY

On each Sunday in August, pray for a specific church in North Berwick and surrounding area, its minister and congregation. Pray too for the minister and congregation in a church you visited on holiday.

MONDAY

Continue to pray for all who will be involved in summer missions, camps and holiday clubs during this month. Give thanks for all those which have already taken place.

TUESDAY

Pray for those you know who are on holiday or plan to be away during the next few weeks. Remember those who cannot afford to have a holiday, particularly those with children who would love to go away. Pray for wisdom as you share your holiday experiences with them.

WEDNESDAY

Pray for members of our congregation who play a specific role in the life of the church and for those who feel that their age and health means that they can no longer be of any significant use.

THURSDAY

Think about some of the world issues which dominate our news each day,

Ask for wisdom and guidance as you pray for solutions to some of the problems which people face.

FRIDAY

Pray for those who are becoming increasingly worried about their deteriorating financial position and worry about what the future holds for the wellbeing of their family. Remember too those in responsibility who make decisions which affect our financial state.

SATURDAY

Pray that we, our church, local and national leaders will make the correct decisions when prioritising what action should be taken. Remember the nations which are in poverty while the richer ones seem to have money to waste on costly projects which do not seem to benefit the poor
