Weekly Update 5th April 2024

  1. Sunday 7 April

Services at 9.30 am and 10.30 am (also live-streamed). The passage is 1 Corinthians 15:12-28 (also John 20:18-31). In it Paul explains how the resurrection of Christ changes everything. The theme comes from a line in the Apostles Creed, ‘I believe in the resurrection. Of the body.’

Messy Church – 4- 6 pm

In the church hall: begins with create (various crafts); continues with celebrate (worship) and concludes with share (a shared meal of sausage, mashed potatoes and veg. All ages welcome and particularly suitable for families. Who could you invite to come with you to it?

2)   Hungry for Good News

The gospel holders have been up around the church building for a few weeks now. A steady trickle of gospels are being taken away with new ones put in their place. I have no idea of who is taking them which is precisely the point. All sorts of people use the building. This week, for example, one day the hall was being used for Driving Theory Tests.

Please continue to pray that 2,024 gospels will be taken away during the year 2024, that these will be read, and that people will discover the life there is in Jesus.
