  1. Sunday 8  September 

Services at 9.30 am and 10.30 am (also live-streamed). The theme is Breathing the Oxygen of Peace and the passage is John 15:22-31. It looks at chapter 4 of Jill Duff’s book, Lighting the Beacons.  If you haven’t yet got your own copy they’ll be on sale at coffee on Sunday, at £10.  Alternatively you can get your copy online from many different places.

Following the 10.30 worship, the much loved Guild soup and pudding lunch for the congregation will be served at 12 noon in the hall.  Please come along and sample the delights on offer and help raise funds for this year’s projects: Bibles for Bairns and CrossReach: Playful Beginnings.

2)   Guild

The Guild Annual Gathering will be live streamed to the chapel on Saturday 7th September from 1 from 11am to 4pm – the chapel will be open from 10.30am and tea and coffee will be provided. Please come along and enjoy this lovely occasion in the Guild calendar.

3)   Macmillan Coffee Morning Sat 28thSept 10am -12 noon Joan, Katie & Elaine are hosting their 3rdMacmillan Coffee Morning. Please come along and enjoy some delicious home baking, coffee and a chat and at the same time help to support this very worthwhile cause. All donations of baking will be gratefully received.

4)   Strength for Today and Bright Hope for Tomorrow

A Church of Scotland Roadshow, hosted by Rev Tommy McNeil and Rev Neil Glover, (Convenors of the Faith Action Program Leadership Team and Seeds For Growth Fund) is  coming to Lothian and Borders Presbytery on Saturday 5th October.  Open to all, it will be held at St John’s and King’s Park Church in Dalkeith between 9.30 and 3.30 pm.  There is no charge but booking is advised: https://forms.office.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx?id=f4cZu3Ni40etmAGdjzlP78cTkJmBJBdDjVPbik4fRrxURTlQVlNLOEpYNVpTMEpOSFZSQjg3SjdUUS4u

5)   Window Wonderland

A fun, free, easy individual and family-friendly event where the community creates illuminated displays in its Windows. Display your designs in your street-facing windows of your home, business, school, nursery, car, shop, or even your front door, or shed window. A map showing the locations of the lit-up window displays is then created to form an after-sunset walking trail, transforming local streets into art galleries.  It will happen between 1 and 8 October.

6)   Prayer Gatherings

Every Sunday in Prayer Room between 10 and 10.20 am

Every Monday in Room 1 between 10 and 11 am.

Every Wednesday on Zoom between for 30 minutes starting at 7 pm.
