1. Harvest Thanksgiving, Sunday 29 September
Services at 9.30 am (also live-streamed) and 10.30 am. The Bible Passage is Ruth 2:1-18, which offers some clues about how we can balance encouraging initiative with being generous.
You are invited to make a harvest gift to express your thanks to God for the good things you have received this year.
– Bring items for East Lothian Foodbank. Elaine, the manager, told me, ‘We often run low on things like tinned meats, jam, rice and long life fruit juice. However any long life store items would be very greatly appreciated. We don’t often get enough toiletries to keep up with demand so things like shower gel, deodorant and shampoo would also be most helpful.’
– Donate to Tearfund’s Church and Community Transformation Program. Envelopes will be available or you can give online at https://www.tearfund.org/campaigns/transforming-communities-appeal-isaac

Andrew Duncan is always looking for new ways to make connections to and develop relationships with young people. This year he plans to start a Board Games Club on a Monday afternoon after school. He needs some adult helpers to assist him.
Are you someone who enjoys Board Games?
Do you tend to be free on Mondays between 3.30 pm and 6.00 pm?
If so, might God be prompting you to support this new ministry?
