1. Sunday 10 November Remembrance Sunday
Services in the church building at 9.30 am and 10.30 am (also live-streamed). The theme is Where will it all end? and the passage Revelation 21:1-8. The topic ties together Remembrance Sunday and the final chapter of Lighting the Beacons which is titled, Land of Light and Glory.
There will be a short service at the War Memorial on Quality Street. It is planned to begin at 12 noon, but in reality it will start when the Parade arrives which is often a little sooner.
2. Christmas Choir
Practicing in church this Sunday and every Sunday till Christmas at 11.50 am.
3. Christina Noble
Christina died on Sunday 3. She was a woman of deep faith and had a sharp and curious mind. A brilliant teacher, the clarity of her thought was hugely appreciated by a generation of Heriot Watt students. Her funeral will be in the church on Wed 27 Nov at 1.30 pm. We assure John and his family of our prayers.
4. Young Carers Art Exhibition.
Art exhibit & Craft Sale supporting East Lothian Young Carers is in the Chapel Fri 8th & Sat 9th Nov from 10 – 5pm featuring local artists Wendy Portway, Pam McKenzie & Julie Otter. Tea coffee & home baking will also be available.
5. Support Bethany Christian Trust through your Christmas Trees

6. Guild The next meeting is on Tues, 12th Nov at 2 pm in the Chapel. It will be a different style of meeting – a getting to know you session with our new lady elders. Don’t panic the new male elders will be joining us in February 2025. Do come and meet Mari, Sally and Sheila and think of questions you might like to ask them. We look forward to welcoming you to our meeting.
7. Save the Date: Friday 29 Nov: 3.30 -8.00 pm
An opportunity to pray together in the church building. Jesus said, ‘Without me you can do nothing’ (John 15:6). Come and join others in praying that the light of Jesus might transform lives this Christmas time. Come and pray in your way, for as short or as long as you are able to. Join others in expressing dependence on God in this concrete way.

Every Sunday in Prayer Room between 10 and 10.20 am
Every Monday in Room 1 between 10 and 11 am.
Every Wednesday on Zoom between for 30 minutes starting at 7 pm.
