3. Hungry for Good News
The racks with free gospels in them have been up now for 9 months. During that time 652 gospels have been taken, which is wonderful. Please keep praying that people passing through the building will be drawn to the racks and will pick up gospels, that these will be read and that people will believe in Jesus.
4. George Finlayson
George, who attended worship usually at the 9.30 service, died this week in Tantallon Care Home 10 days short of his 100th birthday. A memorial service will be held in St Andrew Blackadder on Wed 11 December at 2.00 pm.
5. Hall Work
This is progressing steadily. This week the underfloor heating was laid. In total 1.5 km of very thin tubing that will carry hot water was laid before being covered with boards. Next week the ceiling will be plastered and then the floor covering will be put down. Incidentally, the containers in the Glebe carpark are nothing to do with the work in the church hall. They are the base for the renovation work in the Co-op on the High Street.
