- Half Day of Prayer, Today, Friday 29 Nov
People will be gathering individually and in groups, in the church building, and other places, between 3.30 and 8.00 pm, to pray. Come when you can and stay for as long or short a time as you wish. Pray in whatever way you find natural – with words, with song, in silence. Sit still, stand up, go for a prayer walk round the church building or town.
Why pray? Because we participate in Christ’s mission. And it is only by the power of the Holy Spirit that anything significant happens. When we pray we express our dependence on God.
As part of the event there will two short times of worship at 4.30 pm and 6.30 pm.
