February 2022, Prayer Diary

1 My apologies for the fact that on a few days the prayer information is not correct. The situation sometimes changes after the diary has been compiled Pray for those who find changes difficult to cope with.

2 Pray for the members of the Growing Young team as they participate in a webinar session today.

3 Remember the organisers of various activities who are wondering if and when they should resume meeting.

4 Continue to pray for Neil as he continues to work with a heavy schedule of activities and commitments.

5 Give thanks that more people have been able to attend more activities in recent days but pray for those who are still  apprehensive about getting involved.

6  Pray for Neil as in our worship we reflect on our stewardship of  money. Pray too for all who will be involved in Messy Church.

7  As the news of Hamish and his family is more positive, pray for his continuing health problems and for the well being of the rest of the family.

Remember some of the people who play such a vital role in the life of the church.

13  Pray for all who will be attending one of our services of  worship this morning as we dig deeper into our stewardship of our money.

14 Continue to pray for the pastor and members of Martin Memorial Church in Sikkim. Pray too for Uzwal and the churches for which he is responsible.

15 Pray for the members of our own congregation who you know are ill at this time.

16  Remember Carol and all the other workers in the Day Centre. Give thanks for all the help and support which they give to all who attend for lunch or just for company.

17  Pray for those who are housebound and lacking care and company. Ask for guidance to see if you can offer some support.

18  Pray for guidance as you consider priorities and how best to use your income.

19  Remember those you know who have been bereaved recently and are finding the loss very hard to accept.

20  Pray for Richard Tulloch as he leads our worship this  morning.

21  Pray that the fund raised at the recent Coffee Morning will be used wisely when it reaches Malawi  and will be used to improve the lives of many people in that country.

22  Remember Neil and all the other members of the Kirk Session as they meet this evening.

23  Pray for yourself and for your work and witness in the community.

24  Presbytery of Lothian meets this evening. Pray that they will be guided as they make decisions that will affect the churches in the area.

25  Continue to pray for Andrew, his studies and work with the young people in our church and beyond.

26  Remember the congregations in East Linton, Stenton and  Athelstaneford and for Neil as he carries out his duties as Interim Moderator.

27 Pray for all who will be in church this morning as they  celebrate communion together.

28 Give thanks and pray for a person who unexpectedly showed you an act of kindness recently.
