1 Pray that the upgrading of the sound and visual systems in the church will be a great benefit to many. Give thanks that the provision of finances have made it possible.
2 Remember all who will be involved in Messy Church this afternoon and for Neil as he leads worship this morning. Pray that more members will be able to help.
3 Give thanks for all the time and effort which Derek has put in to produce Kaleidoscope each month. Pray for Kirstin as she begins to take over responsibility for its production.
4 Pray for Barbara as she recalls her climb up the Law and for all who will attend the meeting of the Guild this afternoon.
5 Give thanks that there are many new people in our fellowship. Pray for all who will take part in the Welcome Evening tonight.
6 Continue to pray for Hamish, Annika and the work of Wycliffe in Sweden and other parts of the world.
7 Pray for members of our fellowship who used to be regular attenders each Sunday but are now housebound and no longer able to attend to church each week.
8 Remember all the doctors and nurses in our surgery and pray for those who still find it difficult to get the help they feel they need.
9 We celebrate Harvest during our time of worship this morning. Give thanks for all the good things we enjoy.
10 Pray for all those who contribute each week to various aspects of what takes place on a Sunday – the organists, the musicians, welcomers, operators of the audio-visual system.
11 Continue to pray for Julie and all the important tasks which she has to attend to in the church office.
12 Lothian East Guilds Together meet for a Communion Service in Dirleton Kirk this afternoon. Pray that it will be a meaningful time for all who are involved.
13 Pray for all the students who have started or will shortly start a new term at college or university. Remember those who run the Christian Union at them.
14 Pray for the members of the audio-visual team, for those who make the DVDs and CDS and for those who deliver them each week.
15 Remember Paul, Mary, Stacy and others who prepare for and lead sections of the youth programme each Sunday
16 Pray for Richard Tulloch as he leads our worship this morning.
Pray for personal, local national and international situations which you recall as you meditate on the following lines from a well known hymn.

20 And where there is doubt, true faith in you

22 Where there’s sadness ever joy
23 Pray for Douglas Hamilton and he members of the parishes in East Linton, Stenton and Athelstaneford. Remember his family as they settle into new surroundings.
24 Pray for those in our fellowship and others you know who have lost one of their family or a friend in recent weeks.
25 Pray for the members of the Operations Committee as they meet this evening to discus and make decisions about various aspects of the functioning of the church.
26 Remember those you know whose sight or hearing is becoming severely impaired and who are finding aspects of life very difficult to cope with.
27 Continue to pray for the work of Scripture Union and in particular for the need for new staff at their Lendrick Muir site.
28 Pray for someone you know who still lives locally but no longer wants to come to any of the church activities.
29 Pray for yourself, your work and witness to your neighbours and others you meet.
30 Continue to remember Carol and the other staff in the Day Centre and all the members who come for kelp and encouragement each week.
31 Pray for all who will be worried or stressed with events which may happen this evening.
