Services at 9.30 am and 10.30 am (also live-streamed). The passage is Mark 10:46-11:11 and the theme, Finding Hope in a Turbulent World.
Hunger Lunch
Hunger Lunch returns at 12 noon this Sunday. It’s a simple lunch of soup and rolls, tea and coffee. You donate the cost of a normal lunch and this goes to support the orphans project in Malawi the congregation is linked to.
Real Easter Egg Collection
If you ordered any Real Easter eggs, please collect any pay for it this Sunday. Cash or card accepted.
2. Good Friday Witness
On Good Friday (18 April), a wooden cross will be carried from the Harbour Cross to the front of St Andrew Blackadder Church. A group will gather at the Harbour Cross (opposite the Lifeboat station) at 3 pm, which was when Jesus was hung on the cross. Outside the church at about 3.15 pm, Mark’s account of Good Friday will be read out loud. You are invited to be part of this act of witness.

4. Death of Edna Ironside
Nothing it seemed could knock Edna down. Despite all sorts of issues she picked herself up, refused to feel sorry for herself and was an inspiration to many. Recently she recognized her time had come and after a short stay in ELCH she died on Thursday 10 April.

6. Could you help at the Beacon?
Are you new to North Berwick, or perhaps your circumstances have changed & you’re looking for something new to do. If so, and you have a few hours to spare once a month on a Thursday morning then the Beacon might be for you. We’re looking to expand our teams so, if you like meeting people and would like to find out more information about this important ministry then please speak to Elaine Martin or pop along to the Beacon any Thursday morning and ask to speak to the team leader.
7. Session Clerk Team
Last Sunday thanks were expressed to Niki McKenzie as she handed on the baton to Sheila Haynes, Tommy Nelson and Rodger Glenfield. Sheila will be responsible for administration and is team leader. Tommy will be responsible for supporting the various ministries of the congregation. Rodger will be responsible for Sunday ministry. You don’t need to remember the role each has. Talk any of them about anything and if it’s best dealt with by another member of the team they’ll pass it on.
8. Myanmar Earthquake Appeal
Last Sunday NB Rotary collected £611 after the services. Thank you for your generosity.
