1. Sunday 22 February
Communion will be celebrated at both the 9.30 am and 10.30 am (live-streamed). If you are worshipping online, please prepare your bread and wine ahead of the service so you can participate in communion. The passage is John 6:5-40 and the theme, What truly satisfies you.
Usually Communion is celebrated at the Beacon in the same week. On this occasion it will be a little later on Thursday 12 March.
2. Real Easter Eggs
Real Easter Eggs will cost £5 and are now available to order using the ‘sign up sheets’ at both the back and the front of the church. There is also an opportunity to gift eggs to the East Lothian Foodbank. Out of the 80 million Easter Eggs sold in the UK each year, the Real Easter Egg is the only one that tells the Easter story. Last date for orders is Sunday 15 March; ordered eggs available after both services on Sunday 22nd March. Cash or card.
3. Messy Church, Sunday 1st March from 4 – 6 pm. Why not come and join lots of others who find Messy Church helps them encounter Jesus and discover what it means to follow him.
4. World Day of Prayer Friday 6 March
The local service is being held this year in St Andrew Blackadder Church at 3 pm in the chapel. All welcome.
5. Parenting Workshops
North Berwick Christian Fellowship have organized two parenting workshops.
– Handling Anxiety and Other Big Emotions in Kids , Monday March 9, 7.15-9.00 pm
– Understanding the Teenage Brain, Monday April 27, 7.15-9.00 pm.
Both events are in Abbey Church Hall, being run by an experienced Child and Family Counsellor, and are ticketed. Tickets are available from www.nbcf.church, £15 per person, £25 for a couple. If money is an issue, speak to me.
6. Prayer Gatherings
Every Sunday in Prayer Room between 10 and 10.20 am
Every Monday in Room 1 between 10 and 11 am.
Every Wednesday on Zoom between for 30 minutes starting at 7 pm.
