Weekly Update 28 May 2021

  1. Tom Fergusson

Tom died in the Edington on 20 May aged 88.  Tom was a kind, helpful friendly man. A member of the North Berwick Pipe Band for 78 years, he taught generations of young people to play the pipes. The sound you hear when the band plays is the living legacy he leaves our town.

Communion this Sunday

This Sunday we celebrate communion in church  at 9 am and 10.30 am and online.

Check Eventbrite to see if places are still available https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/o/st-andrew-blackadder-church-30851236453

The online service is on YouTube https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCyx9BQETCXXgQ5HcwkBtLdA

Prepare your own ‘bread’ and ‘wine’ so that you can take part in communion at home at the appropriate moment in the service.

In the service we will send out Douglas Hamilton who begins working as a probationary minister in Traprain Parish on Tuesday.

Looking Ahead

This week the Scottish Government announced that when an area moves to level 1 (East Lothian is currently level 2) Congregational singing will be permitted.  The likelihood is that numbers will still be restricted and with masks needing to be worn in church.  Please join me in praying that we move to level 1 soon so that this important part of our worship can begin again.
