12th February 2024, Weekly Update

1. Sunday 11 February.

Services will be at 9.30 am and 10.30 am (also live-streamed).  Margot Robertson is leading worship. The passage is Luke 12:13-34 and the theme is “Distractions from the Way”

Hunger Lunch

A simple lunch of soup and rolls will be served in the hall at midday on Sunday. Come along, get to know others better, and donate the cost of your lunch.  This year funds are being used to support the Orphans Village in Malawi that the congregation has had a connection to over many years.

2. Public Profession of Faith

Two people in the congregation have sensed the Holy Spirit prompting them to publicly profess their faith in Jesus Christ and become members of the congregation. Is God prompting you to do this? Perhaps it’s a new prompting. Maybe you’ve been putting it off for a long time. Either way, there will be an opportunity in the next few weeks for you to do this too. If you’d like to do it, or aren’t sure and would like to chat about it, please let me know ASAP.

3. Death of Ewen Campbell

We extend our sympathy to Caryl whose husband Ewen died at the weekend. Ewen was a member of Dirleton Kirk and also involved in different activities at St Andrew Blackadder.

4. Prayer Gatherings

Every Sunday in Prayer Room between 10 and 10.20 am
Every Monday in Room 1 between 10 and 11 am.
Every Wednesday on Zoom between for 30 minutes starting at 7 pm.
