Weekly Update, 24 June 2022

  1. July Kaleidoscope

Please pick up your copy from the church building this weekend. And if you are a deliverer, your packet.

2)  Prayer Diary

The Prayer Diary for July is also available now in the building in paper and will appear shortly on the website under ‘Prayer Calendar’.

3)  Douglas Hamilton

Douglas has been invited to preach for the vacant congregation of Traprain (the church where he is currently serving as Probationer).  This will happen on Sunday 3 July.  This is great news. Please continue to pray for God’s leading for Douglas and the rest of the family at this time.

4)  Spring Harvest

Ever wondered what Spring Harvest is all about?  Here’s how you can taste and see.

Some of the headline speakers at Spring Harvest this year were recorded. The church have these on a USB stick which you can borrow.

Talks are around an hour each and include Amy Orr Ewing, Chris Rogers, Mike Palavachi and Rachel Gardener. These are interesting, thought provoking and inspiring – and many funny too! Their perspective and thoughts on interpreting the gospel were great to hear live at Spring Harvest and remain a blessing for those watching later.

You can either borrow the USB stick from Ali Buchanan (details in the Directory) or you can stop off in the chapel during coffee after the 10.30 service over the next few Sunday’s when one of the talks will be being shown.

5)  Barbara Reid

Congratulations to Barbara Reid who in her 90th year climbed the Law for Tree Aid. If you’ve been meaning to, but haven’t yet done it, you can donate at www.justgiving.com/fundraising/barbara-reid4,

6)  Prayer Gathering

Each Wednesday on Zoom between for 30 minutes starting at 7 pm.

Contact Julie in the office for access.
