- Sunday 12th February Services at 9.30 am and 10.30 am with the 10.30 service live-streamed. The passage is Matthew 5:13-20 and the theme, Jesus Influencer.
Hunger Lunch will take place at 12 noon in the hall. Soup, rolls, coffee will be served. It’s a simple lunch – you won’t go home hungry; a great way to get to know people better; and a way of sharing some of our wealth with those who often go hungry.
2) Turkey and Syria Earthquake
Are you wondering what you can do to offer support to families devastated by the recent earthquake? Here are two ways you can do it.
Tearfund and Christian Aid are members of the Disasters Emergency Committee. Gifts you give them will be channeled to those who need it in areas affected by the earthquake. To give through Tearfund go to https://www.tearfund.org/campaigns/turkey-syria-earthquake-appeal?tf_source=224840&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI8cj9t-iI_QIVztvtCh2MtQf8EAAYASAAEgLwo_D_BwE or phone 020 3906 3906. To give through Christian Aid go to https://www.christianaid.org.uk/appeals/emergencies/dec-turkey-syria-earthquake-appeal?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI56meuf6I_QIVBu_tCh1BfQonEAAYASAAEgK6sfD_BwE
If you want to give cash, you can bring it to church on Sunday. Either:
– give through North Berwick Rotary. There will be a Rotary Bucket in church this Sunday.
– give through Tearfund. Ask a member of the Welcome Team for a Tearfund Emergency Appeal envelope.
3) Real Easter Eggs
Tony Cooper has once again offered to arrange for people to buy Real Easter Eggs. These are chocolate Easter eggs similar to the ones you buy in the supermarket. The difference is the box also contains a short colour booklet that tells the Easter story. You will be able to order Easter eggs for yourself and/or to donate to East Lothian Foodbank.
Tony will explain more during the services when order forms will be given out.
4) The Guild 14 Feb

Morag died on Saturday 4 February. Morag was a shining example of faith, hope and love. Her lovely smile and chuckle expressed joy in living, real concern for others and deep faith in Jesus Christ. As we give thanks to God for her we ask him to comfort her family and many friends. Her funeral will be in St Andrew Blackadder Church on Wednesday 1 March at 10 am.
6) Open Door
Thanks to tremendous support for this the church is open most days 9.00 am to 4.00pm. There are vacant 2.00 – 4.00 slots still to fill , one on Mondays, two on Tuesdays and three on Wednesdays, each once every 4 weeks. If you think you might be able to help with these please contact Julie in the office or Barbara Clark (details in the directory). The actual dates are on the church website.
