4) Forest Church Zoominar
As StAB has explored how to Grow Young, one idea the congregation came up with is to take worship outside the building. In times past Open Air services chimed with some people. Today one of the ways that is resonating is Forest Church. At the moment a small group are working out how this might be done in North Berwick. Meanwhile others, in other places, have started which means we can learn from their experience.
The Presbytery has arranged a Zoominar on Thursday 11 May at 7.30 pm on Forest Church. It will be hosted by Aniko Schutz Bradwell. Anyone is welcome to participate. To do so click on this link: https://zoom.us/j/94562855620?
5) Standing Strong – An Open Doors Event, 13 May 2023
This will be held at St Paul’s and St George’s Church, Edinburgh, from 10 am till 2.30 pm. Any it Hea Woo from North Korea will be speaking and sharing her story. Hea Woo became a Christian in China in the 1990s after she fled North Korea – but she was arrested and sent back. She was imprisoned for many years, but did not give up her faith, leading other women in the prison to Jesus. She was eventually released and escaped to South Korea.
“I cried out to God to use me to tell my story to people outside the prison camp, and now I travel and share the love of God to believers all around the world,” she says. “God has changed my life from sorrow to joy.”
As well as time to pray and worship together, there will be seminars where you will have the opportunity to interact with Hea Woo and ask her questions and pray with her.
Standing Strong is free to attend, and refreshments will be provided. Book your tickets here: Standing Strong 2023

This brand new Holiday Club will give children a sense of the big story of the Bible. It begins with the perfect world God made, tells how humans spoilt it, and shows how Jesus is the only one who can bring hope and restoration.
There will be morning activities for P1-P 5 children, from Monday to Friday between 10 am and noon,.
There will be afternoon activities for P5-P7 children between 2 and 4 pm.

This is a great way to help children and young people understand what the Bible teaches and how it relates to their lives today. It is being run by the different churches in North Berwick under the SU banner. Might you be able to invest some of your faith, time and energy to help the children and young people of our town discover who Jesus is and the difference he can make to their lives?
