2) North Berwick Holiday Club 24-28 July
There will be a Commissioning Service on Sunday 23rd July 7-8pm in Abbey Church to lift the week to God in prayer and praise. At it you will learn more about the Great Glen Green Welly Garden Show and other activities happening over the week. Please join in praying for all who take part – children, young people and team.
Spaces are still available, so please encourage families you know to book. There will be a packed programme for everyone from primary 1 to secondary school age. Attached is a flyer with the links to book online.
3) Summer Holiday Survival Packs
One of this year’s Gift Day Projects is to fund Summer Holiday Survival Packs that East Lothian Foodbank are providing for low-income families. Elaine, the Foodbank manager has sent this message:
Each parcel has been packed in a useful nylon drawstring bag and includes, muesli bars, crisps, orange squash, fruit stars and fruit purees, suncream, bubble wand, water bottle and ball. We will also include a £5 or £10 Co-op voucher depending on the size of the household, for additional snacks for children.
Here is a photo of some of the bags made up and ready to go. We made up 220 bags in the first instance and have dispatched 72 bags today to North Berwick Community Centre. Katie at the Kindness Co-operative will ensure the parcels are directed to those most in need in the North Berwick area.
