Hunger Lunch (usually on the second Sunday of the month) is having a break during July and August.
2) Gift Day
The total you have given so far is £31,815. This year’s target is £40,00 which means we are 80% of the way to it already. Thank you to everyone who has given. You are invited to consider what you can contribute if you have not yet done so, or to give an additional gift if you are in a position to do so. 3) Songs of Praise.
Every Thursday there is a short informal service in the chapel at 1 pm. Everyone is always welcome. On Thursday 1 August it will be a Songs of Praise service. If you have a favourite hymn in CH4 that you would like sung, fill in the details on a form available from the office. It needs to be submitted by July 18th. As many hymns as possible will be included.
4) Clean Carpets
All the carpets in the church have been professionally cleaned this week and they are looking great. There is a lot of traffic through the building which means over time they get grubby and need this kind of cleaning. We are finding, however, we need to get them cleaned more frequently mainly because of coffee/tea spillages. A complete clean costs £2,000. So please:
– if you spill coffee, use a paper towel to soak it up as quickly as you can
– inform Julie or Hilde so they can spray it before the stain seeps in.
5) 24/7 Prayer From 7pm on Friday 2nd of August until 9pm on Sunday 11th of August Room 1 will be turned in to a multi station Prayer Space for all to use between 10am and 4pm daily. You can also book to pray out with these times https://signup.24-7prayer.com/signup/96edc2. Prayer gatherings are also planned for Friday 2/8/24 7-9pm, Sunday 4/8/24 7-9pm and Sunday 11/8/24 7-9pm . Every Sunday in Prayer Room between 10 and 10.20 am
Every Monday in Room 1 between 10 and 11 am.
Every Wednesday on Zoom between for 30 minutes starting at 7 pm.
