Weekly Update, 10th April 2026

1. Sunday 12th April
Services at 9.30 am and 10.30 am (live-streamed). The passage is John 20:19-23 and the theme, How Easter Offers You a Purpose!

2. Hunger Lunch, Sunday 12th April at 12 noon in the hall. Join us for a delicious bowl of homemade soup– all proceeds raised are for the Kauma Orphans Project

3. Session Update: Presbytery have now appointed Rev Graham Duffin as our Interim Moderator. Graham has recently stepped down as minister of Loanhead Parish Church in Midlothian after 24 years’ service. He continues to be actively involved in other projects within the wider church including the Growing Young Initiative. He will start with us at the beginning of July and we look forward to working with him.

4. Parenting Workshop, Mon 27 Apr. 7.15-9.00 pm. At Abbey Church Hall arranged by North Berwick Christian Fellowship – Understanding the Teenage Brain, run by an experienced child & family Counsellor. Tickets available at www.nbcf.church, £15 per person, £25 for a couple. If money is an issue, then please speak to Neil.

5. Barbara Bursary, Did you know that we have a bursary available to help you grow your faith? When Barbara Stonehouse died in 2019 she left money to St Andrew Blackadder Church. The Kirk Session decided to use some of it to set up a bursary fund to assist members of the congregation grow in their faith, develop their discipleship and participate in mission.
Is there some event you’d like to attend or course you’d like to go on to help you grow in your faith? Is there some way that God is prompting you to serve? If there is and cost is holding you back, why not apply for a bursary. Forms are in the St Andrew St entrance and from the office.

6. North Berwick & District Association of Churches is hosting a Public Hustings for the 2026 Holyrood elections. The Hustings is on Tuesday 28 April at 7.30pm in St Andrew Blackadder Church and Sir Hew Dalrymple will chair with all candidates attending
