1. A date for your diary:

Church Family Picnic and gathering for all ages at Canty Bay on Sunday 11 September from 12.00noon.  This is a good chance to meet up with the whole church family for a social gathering as the Summer ends and the Autumn term begins.   Please bring your own food for a picnic, chairs, beach rugs, etc.  Canty Bay has great facilities (kitchen, loos, football pitch, beach volley ball, private beach access).  Either sit and relax ….or join in various activities!  Depending on the tide – a nice coastal walk is possible.  Directions: Just after the Drift Café entrance and before Canty House there is a private road down to Canty Bay

 2) Christian Aid Guitar Concert:

 Longniddry Christian Aid presents an evening of classical guitar music with Ben Kearsley. On Saturday 20 August from 7pm to 8.30pm, at Longniddry Parish Church, Elcho Road, Longniddry EH32 0LB. Tickets: £12, including an interval glass of wine/soft drink.

3) The Iona Community

There are a number of vacancies available, please consider applying, or sharing with others who may be qualified and interested.

Permanent posts. We are currently looking for an Executive Director and a Membership Engagement Administrator. Both roles are home based but will require the successful applicant to be able to attend regular meetings in Glasgow, with some meetings on Iona and Mull.

Volunteer posts. We have opportunities for volunteering on Iona, from September onwards.
