5th January 2024, Weekly Update

A very happy New Year. May it be one in which you are both blessed and have many opportunities to bless others.

  1. Sunday 7/1/24

Worship returns to its normal times of 9.30 am and 10.30 am (also live-streamed). Junior Church and YF also resume at 10.30 am. The passage is Luke 9:51-62 and the theme is What Is Your Why? Between now and Easter we will travel with Jesus to Jerusalem and explore what it means to be a follower of Jesus.

I’m really excited that Hungry for Good News an initiative for 2024 will be launched on Sunday. More details to follow …

2)   Joy Lancaster

Joy died on 2 January. Joy was part of StAB in an unusual way, because she was never in the church building. In 2008, shortly after moving to North Berwick, she had a major stroke and became housebound. A committed follower of Jesus she was determined to become part of a local church. She contacted StAB and a house group formed. It has met with her in her house monthly for the last 15 years, and she has participated in weekly worship through CDs and the live-stream, being blessed and blessing others.

3)   Malawi Coffee Morning

The 21st annual Coffee Morning is on Saturday, 20 January, between 10.00am and 12.00 noon in St Andrew Blackadder church hall. There will be no entry charge with the morning open to all and any donations welcomed.

There will be the usual coffees, teas and bakery served, as well as a bakery stall and gift stall. All contributions and offers of help on the day, gratefully received. Contact Ian & Liz Craigie or  Barbara Clark (details in Church Directory).

4)   Prayer Gatherings

These have resumed and will meet at their normal times.

Every Sunday in Prayer Room between 10 and 10.20 am

Every Monday in Room 1 between 10 and 11 am.

Every Wednesday on Zoom between for 30 minutes starting at 7 pm.

Please contact the office for log on details.
