- Worship on Sunday 9 March
Services at 9.30 am and 10.30 am (also live-streamed). The passage is Mark 6:1-19 and the theme Guests as well as hosts.
2) Kirk Session Conference
Thank you for praying for last Saturday’s conference. It was a rich day. The elders and the young people present (see photo) came away with a number of key phrases which they sensed God had given them. These include Guests as well as hosts (the theme of Sunday’s service), spilling out, get out of the box, improvise with what is before you and stepping out with Jesus. The next step will be to reflect more on these and then use them to shape the way the congregation participates in God’s mission.
3) Real Easter Eggs
These are the only ones which have an Easter story book in the box and are made of Fairtrade chocolate; these are available by order until Sunday 16th March; order forms are available at both entrances to the Church and include the opportunity to gift Eggs to The East Lothian Food Bank for families with children; ORDERS CLOSE SUNDAY 16th MARCH. ‘Pay & Collect’ on Sun 13th April 2025 – pay by cash or card.
4) Rushing out to buy more supplies
Both the Messy Church team on Sunday and the Beacon team on Thursday ran out of food and had to dash to the shop to get extra. Both teams were surprised and delighted with the number of people showing up. Please thank God for drawing people in. Please pray that contact will lead to discipleship. Please pray that the teams will continue to know God’s strength and direction.
5) Prayer Gatherings
Every Sunday in Prayer Room between 10 and 10.20 am
Every Monday in Room 1 between 10 and 11 am.
Every Wednesday on Zoom between for 30 minutes starting at 7 pm.
