2. Phyllis Adams
Phyllis died peacefully in Fidra Nursing Home on 20 May 2025. She was a very caring and practical person who expressed her faith in Jesus by doing what needed to be done. For many years the Guild and the Beacon in particular benefited from her energy and faith. We thank God for her and assure her family of our prayers.

7. Fostering and Adoption
The Parish of Traprain has joined up with Home for Good / Safe Families to host an evening at Prestonkirk Stables, East Linton on Thursday 19th June at 7pm. Rev Douglas Hamilton will speak about the voice of the church for local families and children. This will be followed by two social workers in the fostering and adoption team of East Lothian Council sharing more about the need to support looked after children in the area.
Anyone is welcome – whether you are a single person, couple or family and want to learn more about different forms of support that you could be involved in for children locally; or if you are a member of the community and are interested in stepping up to provide wrap around care for a local foster carer or adopter; or if you are involved in church leadership and want to have more awareness of what is happening in your local council – this is a great evening to come to.
Bring your friends and your questions! Let us know if you are able to attend so that we can sort out numbers for hot drinks and snacks. Email tamsyn.radmall@homeforgood.org.uk
