2) A Message from Gertrude:
I would like to say an enormous THANK YOU to everyone for their cards, messages, prayers, phone calls, offers of help, good wishes and flowers after my recent accident. I have been so humbled by how many of you took time to think of me and keep me in your prayers. Your love has held me up when I needed it; every act of kindness lifted my spirit.
My close friends and family also send their thanks for the many kindnesses shown to them while they have looked after me.
I would like to thank one person in particular – Mary B – who knew that an unkempt garden would upset me, and so took on tending my garden for as long as was needed. A special thanks to you, Mary.
I am on the mend more slowly than I would like but I think slow and steady is best at the moment.

3) The Beacon Service will be upstairs in the Sanctuary on the 14th of August. This is due to fundraising art exhibit in the chapel for the charity Brain Power.
