Weekly Update, 15th May 2026

1. Sunday 17th May
Services at 9.30 am and 10.30 am (live-streamed). The passage is Acts 1:12-26 and the theme, How the Spirit helps you make good decisions.

-Hunger Lunch is at 12pm in the hall with all proceeds going to Christian Aid.
– Christian Aid envelopes should be returned with the Sunday offerings or to the Office.

Messages to Neil– time is running out to write in Neil’s book, it is available on the communion table after services for the next 2 Sundays and also in the office on weekday mornings so if you haven’t yet signed it you need to SOON!

2. Church Weekend Away Saturday 7th – Sunday 8th June 2026 at Scoughill SU camp just outside North Berwick- sign up via the church website or using the forms by the St Andrew street entrance. Please sign up by Monday 25th May so the catering team can plan and buy accordingly.

– Volunteers are needed to help the kitchen team for the weekend. Can you provide baking or help with washing up? If you can help please add your name to the sign-up sheets outside the Church Office.

3. SU Holiday Club
This year’s North Berwick Scripture Union Holiday Club will run from the 20th – 24th July with sessions at both Abbey Church and St Andrew Blackadder running for three different age groups. Please use the QR codes on the attached posted for more details and to register.

4. Rugged Pathway Pilgrimage is taking place on Saturday 30th May. Walking 14 miles from St Mary’s Church, Haddington to St Mary’s, Whitekirk, with stops on the way for quiet reflection. There will also be also refreshment stops at Athelstaneford and Prestonkirk in East Linton. The walk will commence from St Mary’s Haddington after a short service at 9.30 am.
Those wishing to join in should be prepared for some gentle inclines along the way, and, as always, should dress for all Scottish weathers. Please provide your own transport and a packed lunch. (Some transport may be possible for those not able to do the whole walk)

5. Prayer Gatherings
Every Sunday in Prayer Room between 10 and 10.20 am
Every Monday in Room 1 between 10 and 11 am.
