ASM- will be held on Sunday 10th May at 12 noon in the Sanctuary.
Messages to Neil– time is running out to write in Neil’s book, it is available on the communion table after services for the next 2 Sundays and also in the office on weekday mornings so if you haven’t yet signed it you need to SOON!
2) Session Update
To fulfil their responsibility to ensure Sunday worship and pastoral care continue appropriately during the vacancy, the Kirk Session have agreed to appoint a locum minister. We are delighted that the Rev Mary Haddow from our own congregation has agreed to this appointment. Mary will take up the appointment on 01/07/2026.
3. Messy Church is on Sunday 10th May from 4 – 6pm and the theme is Dream of Heaven. Join us for messy fun, bible teaching and dinner.4. The Guild – The Edinburgh Gilbert and Sullivan Society concert is TONIGHT in the Sanctuary at 7.30pm. There will be songs from Iolanthe, the Grand Duke and other G&S delights. All proceeds to the Guild projects Bear Necessities Bulgaria and Operation Hope Egypt. Tickets are £10 for adults, children free and are available from Greens and Blues or Ann Braid, or at the door on the night. Please come along for a great, fun filled evening to support worthy causes.
5. Christian Aid
– United Service – 6pm on 10th May at Abbey Church. This year’s United Service on Sunday 10th May has been organised by members of St Andrew Blackadder and will be hosted by Abbey Church. The service will be led by Rev Mary Haddow, with contributions from neighbouring congregations.
This shared time of worship is also an opportunity to learn more about Christian Aid’s invaluable work in some of the most impoverished parts of the world.
– Coffee Morning, Saturday 16th May, from 10 – 12pm in the church hall, entry by donation.
– CA envelopes should be returned with the Sunday offerings, to the Office, or to “Luke Henry, NB High St Jewellery Shop
– Hunger Lunch, Due to the ASM this Sunday at noon, hunger lunch has been moved to Sunday the 17th at 12pm in the hall with all proceeds going to Christian Aid.
6. Church Weekend Away Saturday 7th – Sunday 8th June 2026 at Scoughill SU camp just outside North Berwick- sign up via the church website or using the forms by the St Andrew street entrance.
7. Prayer Gatherings
Every Sunday in Prayer Room between 10 and 10.20 am
Every Monday in Room 1 between 10 and 11 am.
Every Wednesday on Zoom between for 30 minutes starting at 7 pm.
