March 2022 Prayer Diary

1           Pray for Barbara Clark as she arranges the new Open Doors rota and for all who will offer to serve in this important way.

2          Pray for those who are sleeping rough at this time and ask for guidance to find ways to offer practical help.

3          Remember those in the Growing Young Team who meet today. Pray for insight and wisdom as they plan for the future.

4          Pray about issues regarding the terrible imbalance between those in the world who have and those who have not.

5         Pray for Derek Harley who recently became the Scripture Union’s Local Ministry Officer for our area. Remember all who will be involved in his Commissioning Service in Prestonpans tomorrow.

6          In our worship this morning we think about Growing Young in our community. Pray too for all who will be involved in Messy Church this afternoon.         

7          Remember those who are caring for permanently disabled young people and feel that they get little or no support.

Pray for people and situations which come to mind as you meditate on parts of Galatians 5:22.

13        In our worship this morning we think about encouraging discipleship among our young people. Pray for Neil as he leads and for all who will attend.

14        Think of someone you know who has not been to church for a long time and ask God to guide you as you think about when, how and if you should get in contact with them.

15        Pray for the members of the Kirk Session as they meet this evening to approve the 2021 Accounts.

Give thanks for all the time and effort which Keith gives as Treasurer.

16        Remember those who are unwell and whose health shows no or very little sign of improvement.

17        Pray for Fiona, Ruth and Harry as they arrange and lead at the service in Dirleton Court this afternoon. Remember all the residents who appreciate and enjoy this each month.

18        Pray for the Ralston family in Sweden and for others you know in oversees parts of the world.

19        Pray for situations in North Berwick which are of real concern to local people.

20        In our worship today we focus on the part each of us will play in Growing Young.

            Pray for Simon Metzner and the fellowship at St Baldred’s as they meet for worship today.

21        Pray for the health of the Queen as she continues to undertake light duties each day.

22        Pray that our own aspirations and lifestyle reflect a Christ like way of life.

23        Pray for all the home group leaders and for all who attend. May that it be a time of encouragement for those who are involved.

24        Pray for all the helpers who prepare for and then serve at the Beacon each week. Remember too all the speakers and those who attend the short service each week.   

25        Growing Young teams across Scotland meet today for a day’s summit.

26        Pray for those who are seldom mentioned or talked about but who are a tremendous help and encouragement to many who are in need.

27        Today is Mother’s Day. Pray for the families you know in our fellowship and also for all who would love to be a mother but for various reasons are unable to have a family.      

28        Pray for those in our fellowship who are having to cope with sudden changes in events which they organise.

29        Remember Neil as he serves as Interim Moderator in Traprain Parish and as he meets with the Kirk Session there this evening to approve their accounts for 2021. 

30        Pray about the future of the Edington Hospital and for a solution that will meet the medical and financial requirements set by the people who will eventually make decisions about it. 

31        Continue to pray for Julie as she manages the extra work which she has to cope with at this time.
