May 22, Prayer Diary

1  Richard Tulloch is leading worship this morning. Pray for him and for all who will be attending the services.      

2 Continue to pray for the Ralston family in Sweden as they make changes to their work schedule and try to arrange plans for a trip to Scotland in the summer.

3 Pray for the members of the churches in the Ukraine who are giving   practical help to the many who are in dire need.

4 Ask God to give us wisdom and guidance as we seek to use wisely all our personal resources.

5 Today is Election Day. Pray for wisdom and guidance about how we should cast our vote.

6 Pray for all the teachers who are having to cope with extra work as so many pupils and staff are not in school but are isolating themselves as a result of Covid.

7 Give thanks for all the time and effort which Jenny put in on behalf on the church and pray for Marie Scott as she takes over from her.

8 Jock Stein will be leading worship this morning. Pray for him and for Alison and all those who will be involved in Messy Church this  afternoon.

9   Pray for someone who has been a great encouragement to you recently.                                                                                                                                                                        10  Remember Andrew who has come around the church in the last few weeks, hoping to learn from the experiences he gains as he considers entering training for the ministry.

 11   Growing Young Team meet today. Pray for guidance and wisdom as they work out how to take forward the congregation’s discernment of priorities.

 12 Continue to pray for those who are still anxious about going into places where they might catch the Covid virus.

13 Pray that those who were successful in the recent election will serve with wisdom and sincerity.

14 Remember those who will be attending the meeting of North Berwick and District Association of Churches  this evening.

15 The Annual Meeting of the congregation will be held after morning worship today. Pray for all who will attend the United Service being held on behalf of Christian Aid in our church this evening.

16 Continue to pray for Andrew and his work amongst the young people in our fellowship.

17 Pray for Julie and Mike as they attend to many practical matters which affect the efficient running of the church administration.

18 Neil is participating today in a Continuing Professional Development event for ministers – Leadership in a time of change.

19 Pray for the leaders of the Beacon and other organisations who are having to constantly make changes to their routine as Covid regulations are still necessitating change.

20 Pray for those you know who have been hurt, upset or worried by another member of the church.

21 The General Assembly of the Church of Scotland begins today. Pray that it will be an informative and important decision making week.

22 Give thanks for all the people and situations which have brought you happiness in recent days and remember those you know who seem to be permanently sad.

23 Pray for those whose faith has been shaken as a result of all the experiences they have witnessed during the Covid outbreak.

24  Remember those who serve on the Operations Committee as they meet this evening.     

25 Pray for parents who have children and young people whose lifestyle is causing them considerable concern.

26 Pray for Neil and all who will take part in the Communion Service at the Beacon today.

27 Remember Barbara and all the others who are attempting to get the Open Doors rota up and running normally again and pray for those who are still apprehensive about being on it.

28 Pray for all the young people and their leaders who will be attending worship tomorrow. Remember too all those who have never been to anything associated with our church.

29 Pray for the leaders and members of the North Berwick Christian Fellowship as they meet for worship today.  

 30 Pray for those who have numerous worries and whom you are being able to help. Ask God to guide you as you seek to be a support and   encouragement.

31 Pray for someone in our fellowship who is not able to come to church anymore and seek guidance about if, when and how you should make contact with them.
